My work, conceived
from memory or mood, is interpreted and expressed on canvas or board.
It is purely intuitive, not contentious.
I feel that
Mixed Media is the best way for me to realize my goal - using a
myriad of materials to achieve a variety of textures.
My palette consists mainly of warm colours including Acrylide Yellow,
Alizarin Crimson and Paynes Grey. By layering many of these in the
form of washes, more depth of color is achieved.
The
varying moods of nature are the source of my inspiration.
By observing, I create recognizable but imaginary objects or landscapes
that translate images and impressions into shapes and colour.
